The Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Demo is available now, allowing players to experience Nibelheim before the full game comes out on February 29, 2024. It is missing the Junon episode, though, with it becoming available closer to release – here’s when you can play it.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Demo Junon Episode Release Date
The Junon episode section of the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Demo isn’t available until February 21, 2024, on which players will receive an update if their PlayStation 5 is connected to the internet. This update will unlock the Junon episode.
The Junon episode takes place later in the game than the Nibelheim episode that was made available on February 6, 2024. It allows players to explore a condensed portion of the Junon region via chocoboback.
According to the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Demo page on the PlayStation Store, the Junon area “has been altered to make the content more compact, so progress cannot be carried over to the full game.” However, you will be able to carry over your Nibelheim episode progress if you complete it by the time FF7 Rebirth releases on February 29.
Do I Get Anything for Playing the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Demo?
If a Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Demo save is detected on your PlayStation 5 when you boot up the full version of the game after release, you will receive two bonuses as a thank-you for playing the demo:
- Kupo Charm: An accessory that increases the number of resources gained when you pick them up.
- Survival Set: A selection of restorative items, like as Potions and Ether.
Make sure that you’ve downloaded any day-one updates before launching the full game to ensure that your completed FF7 Rebirth Demo save is acknowledged and you get your free items.
