TM003 is “Fake Tears” a move that makes your Pokemon feign crying to fluster the target and harshly lower the target’s Sp. Defense stat. Where to Get Fake Tears TM in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

To get the Fake Tears TM item in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet:

  • Open the map and fly to the South Province (Area Five) Watchtower.
  • Once there open the map and go to this exact location (see the picture below).
  • Jump into the chasm and at the bottom, in the north corner, there will be a patch of grass and a tree.
  • Right in front of the tree, you will see a shining item, pick it up – it is the Fake Tears TM.

The Fake Tears TM003 item can be found in some other locations in the game as well, but once you have it you can even make additional copies with the TM Machine (found at any Pokemon Center). Here are the materials you will need to craft more Fake Tears:

  • League Points x400
  • Teddiursa Claw x3
  • Bonsly Tears x3

So there you have it, now most of your Pokemon can learn this move so you can go and decimate your enemies Sp. Defense stat – it’s super effective against Psychic and Ghost types! Have fun.
