When you start grinding for Wardwoven Chests within Vaults in Diablo 4, you need to avoid traps at all costs, and you might have already thought about using the Sorcerer Teleport ability. Before you decide to roll the class, I’ll go over whether the ability works and how effective it is.
Does Teleport Work on Vault Traps in Diablo 4?
The answer is yes, the Sorcerer Teleport can be used to get past traps in the Season of the Construct. I have been using an Ice Shard Sorcerer this season, and as soon as I was able to run through Vaults, I already had the Teleport ability on my bar. Of course, I had to see whether my magic jump would allow me to entirely skip some of the more annoying traps.
In general, the Teleport ability will let you jump past any trap. Whether it’s the spikes on the ground or the rotating flames, you can use the Sorcerer to completely bypass them. However, it’s not the end all that it sounds like. I highly recommend using Teleport to jump past singular traps, but it can get you in some trouble in the larger rooms.
Vaults tend to have a few different rooms that are full of traps. Every corner has a rotating element being spewed out like flamethrowers while plates litter the floor with more potential damage. Using the Teleport to get past one trap in these rooms can mean landing directly on another. You need to be incredibly precise to avoid reaching a worse position.
To maintain your stacks of Zoltun’s Warding, I would keep the Teleport ability on your bar as another utility option. But you want to use it accurately and sparingly. Look for windows of opportunity where you can jump between traps and move to another room. Otherwise, walking is your best friend in these Diablo 4 dungeons.
Don’t forget to open up the Wardwoven Chest on the way out of the Vault.
