Although Palworld is littered with some friendly Pals to collect, the main focus of the game is still survival, and that means you need to eat some food to stay alive. This guide will cover how you can cook food and thwart your hunger.
How to Cook Food in Palworld
You need to craft a Campfire with 10 wood pieces to start cooking recipes in Palworld. Once you have a Campfire placed anywhere on the ground, you can walk directly up to the fire and open up the recipe menu with the “F” key. By default, you will be able to see every recipe available in the game, but cooking each one requires set ingredients.
When you find the recipe you want to make, simply confirm the process and it will appear on the Campfire. However, the food won’t cook itself. I had to hold down “F” to manually complete the cooking process over a few seconds, or I could have a Pal do the cooking for me. Otherwise, the crafting process is hands-on in the early game.
The easiest recipe to cook will be the Baked Berries. As soon as I started Palworld, I was able to find numerous berry bushes that will do just enough to keep you alive for the time being. Soon enough you can start munching on some of those Lamballs in the area.
How to Eat in Palworld
To eat the food you cooked, simply open up your inventory and right-click the item you want to consume. Once the food is selected, your name and any Pals near you will appear with a health bar. You can choose to give the food to yourself or you can feed your Pals. Either way, it’s all done through your standard inventory screen.
Now the next step is eating your Pals to show everyone who the best really is.
