While adventuring through Remnant 2, you’re likely to come across a lot of items that will have their uses later on. Some of these are fairly straightforward, and you’ll find the use for them almost immediately. Others can require a couple extra steps, or have their answer hidden in plain sight. One item is a key that you find during your adventures through Yaesha, though its use can be a little out of the way. Here’s how to use the Ornate Key in Remnant 2.
Where Do You Use the Ornate Key in Remnant 2?
The Ornate Key is first found after clearing the large gap in the Widow’s Court section of Yaesha. On the dead body of a Pan Warrior is both a note and the key itself, though where you use it isn’t clear. Nothing in the note indicates where it should be used, and the key itself certainly doesn’t help.
To start things off, you’ll want to make your way to one of the ruined buildings nearby. This building is in the same area, so you won’t need to backtrack to find it. Inside this building is a stairway downward, similar to what you see in the image above. This leads to the bottom of one of the chasms in the area, though lets you pass over a waterfall and into a lengthy corridor. At the end is a chest you can open for some quick loot, but that isn’t all there is.
If you go to the left side wall at the very end of the corridor, you’ll find that it’s a fake wall that leads to an elevator. Take that elevator up, and you’ll find an Ornate Box sitting on a table. Inspect the box in your inventory after picking it up, and use the Ornate Key to open it. Inside, you’ll find the Thaen Seed. You can take this to a few different locations to get a few different rewards. We have an article on that below if you’re curious.
