World Tour mode brought an RPG-like experience to the Street Fighter series for the first time, where players with their custom characters roam the streets of Metro City and other locations around the world, training with the legends of the series and developing their skills. There is a lot of customization in this mode, so in addition to the physical attributes of your character and special moves, it is also possible to change the clothes – it is even possible to dye them in different colors.
To do so, you will need gear coloring items, i.e. a dye, and there are many colorful ones in the game, with black being the rarest – because everybody wants to be a black ninja, right? Ok, so let’s find out how to get the elusive Black Dye in Street Fighter 6.
Where to get the Black Dye in Street Fighter 6 (SF6)?
All kinds of dyes can be found randomly in the world, they usually drop from chests or from breakable items, and sometimes you can get them as a reward for completing missions. When it comes to the slightly rarer Black Dye, you will need five dye items in order to paint one piece of clothing in black, which is why some grind is necessary. The best way to grind Black Dye is to challenge NPCs that drop it after you defeat them in, well… Street Fighting! Check out the map below for one of the best locations in Metro City to find NPCs that actually drop this rare coloring item.

The location in question is Outlaw’s Court in Metro City, but just keep in mind that this part of the town will be locked until Chapter 7. Once you unlock the metro and get access to Haggar’s Memorial Stadium you will be able to reach this part of the map. The NPCs at the location marked in the map above (near the green player arrow) can drop Black Dye but only if you fulfill some of the random requirements during the fight, for example, the NPC in the picture below will drop Black Dye if you perform Drive Reversal two times during the fight.
You can check those requirements by pressing the triangle button (or the equivalent) when you approach NPCs so that the details windows will pop up. Also entering the pause menu during the fight will also bring up a list of the requirements needed for earning items that the NPC you are fighting can drop.
Once you get at least five, go to any clothing store and you will see the option to color your items with the dyes you have in your inventory. Have fun and PAINT IT ALL BLACK!
