Will Sons of the Forest Come to PlayStation 5?
While the original The Forest did launch on PlayStation, albeit much later than the PC version, it’s unclear if or when Sons of the Forest will come to PlayStation 5. As of right now, there is no console release date for the survival horror game. The studio, Endnight Games, has yet to reveal any plans to port their game to a console, including both PlayStation and Xbox.
That said, if you have the itch to survive on a dangerous yet idyllic island, The Forest is available on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. It’s $19.99 at full price but regularly drops in price with a sale, sometimes down as low as $9.99. The original game is still fun and offers a different feel to Sons of the Forest overall. If you can find a group to play with, it’s worth your time to explore the first island and its stories!
Sons of the Forest PS5 Release Date Predictions
Despite not a single word from the studio about a console port, that hasn’t stopped anyone from speculating. I’m one of those. I think Sons of the Forest will launch on PlayStation 5 sometime this fall, approximately six months after the 1.0 launch on PC.
Still, some players don’t think Sons of the Forest will hit PlayStation systems until 2025, and that’s being generous. I don’t believe it will take that long, though. Here’s hoping!
